Olga Bocharova, a Nizhnii Novgorod doll-maker, has been a member of the city's Paraskeva Workshop since 2001. She learned folk art techniques as a child. Since 1997 she has participated in exhibitions and festivals of folk art and applied art.
In 2004 and 2006, members of NN Paraskeva Workshop won prizes in the All-Russia Festival "Russian Costume between Two Eras."

Red Doll |
Olga Bocharova considers a folk peasant doll to be an element of traditional Russian culture. Her dolls represent centuries-old ethnographic customs, incorporating many kinds of materials: wood, paper, linen, cotton, wool, birch bark, and bast. She uses different techniques, such as hand needlework, hand weaving, felting, knitting, and embroidery.
In 2007 Olga Bocharova represented the Paraskeva
Workshop of Nizhnii Novgorod at
the International Folk Art Market, Santa Fe,
